Cookie policy

Guidance translation of the Spanish version; in case of discrepancy, the Spanish text prevails.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that websites store on your device when you visit them, in order to remember information and improve your user experience.

SAPHIR uses only the cookies strictly necessary for the operation of the service. We do not use advertising tracking cookies or third-party behavioral analytics cookies.

Cookies we use

Session cookie: keeps your session active while you browse SAPHIR. It is deleted automatically when you close the browser or end the session.

Language cookie: remembers your language preference so that the service is displayed in the language you selected on previous visits.

Security cookie (CSRF): protects the service’s forms against cross-site request forgery attacks. It is essential for account security and cannot be disabled.

Emergency card visit cookie (saphir_viewer): when someone opens an emergency card via QR code, personal code or link, a random value that does not identify them is stored in their browser, and SAPHIR keeps only an irreversible fingerprint of it. It is used to recognize reloads of the same consultation and to avoid sending the card holder a notice for each one. It is a technical security cookie, strictly necessary: it is only sent to the emergency card addresses, expires after 24 hours and is not renewed.

Third-party cookies

SAPHIR does not install third-party cookies for advertising, tracking or behavioral analytics. We do not share browsing data with advertising networks.

When you use sign-in with Google or Apple, these providers may manage their own cookies in accordance with their respective privacy and cookie policies.

We recommend consulting the cookie policies of Google (accounts.google.com) and Apple (appleid.apple.com) if you use these authentication options.

Cookie control

You can configure your browser to reject or delete cookies. Please note that disabling essential cookies may prevent SAPHIR from working properly, including sign-in and account security.

Most modern browsers offer options to manage cookies in their privacy or security settings. Consult your browser’s documentation for specific instructions.

Since SAPHIR only uses cookies strictly necessary for the provision of the service, your prior consent is not required to install them under the applicable regulations.

Updates to this policy

SAPHIR may update this cookie policy to reflect changes in the service, in the technologies used or in applicable regulations.

We will inform you of relevant changes through the available channels. Continued use of the service after the update implies acceptance of the cookie policy in force.
